The GenFlow controller has a battery backup that it automatically switches to in the event of mains power being disconnected.

Intentionally causing this disconnection can be helpful when restarting a faulty controller, but disconnecting the controller from the mains entirely may be difficult or time-consuming in a live environment.

How to quickly power-cycle a controller without disconnecting the mains:

  1. Open the controller and locate the IEC power supply.
  2. Disconnect the green two-pin connector with the red and red/black wires from the 6 pin socket at top of the power supply. (picture below)
  3. Reconnect the green two-pin connector in the same place.

The SOLID RED wire MUST ALIGN with the 12V PIN on the 6 pin socket.

The BLACK/RED wire MUST ALIGN with the 0V PIN on the 6 pin socket.
