How to replace the SD card in a Genflow Controller

If no LEDs on the bottom board inside the controller are functioning, the SD card may be damaged or incorrectly housed.

To replace the SD card:

  1. Disconnect the controller from the mains and disconnect the internal battery by disconnecting the green connector with the Red/Black wire from the 0V/12V socket at the top of the power supply. (pictured below)
THE CONTROLLER MUST BE 100% POWERED DOWN BEFORE THE SD CARD IS REMOVED.

2. Remove the SD card from the SD card slot on the uppermost board.

        3. Go to the Gencloud Management Portal

    • Click on Assets on the top bar to get to all devices in the field
    • Filter the results with the serial number of the controller
    • On the far left of the field, click the three-vertical-dots symbol and click Reprovision. ( This does not give any indication that anything has happened, but it has! clicking this will change the state of the controller to 0, thus making it check for software when powering up again).

4. Replace the SD card with a spare (all spare SD cards provided will have software already installed, so no wait for it to download)

5. Power up controller  : Replace the green connectors in the configuration shown in the first image. (Solid Red Wire to 12V pin, Black/Red Wire to 0V pin)

6.Wait for the amber LED to come on, or wait until the events start coming through on the listener in the toolkit for the device.
