Fobbing

We have had a few reports of fobbing occurring on some lines/taps where Genflow has been installed.


We are not aware of any reason why the Genflow equipment would cause fobbing, but if the kit is not installed to a high standard then it may be possible for other issues to be introduced.


There are a number of potential causes for fobbing which can be researched online, including the following:

Beer flowing too quicklyNot impacted by Genflow equipment - the line pressure, pumps and flow rate limiters must be set up correctly
Cellar too warmNot impacted by Genflow equipment - the temperature in the cellar must be monitored and controlled to ensure the beer/cider/ale is kept a the correct temperature
Beer too warmNot impacted by Genflow equipment - Lines must be effectively insulated and all cooling equipment must be operational and well maintained
Air getting into the lineAs with any equipment in the cellar, the Genflow kit must be installed and maintained by a trained professional in order to ensure that all connections are air tight - preventing air getting into the lines
