Support Book - How to update controller software


Overview

This is a manual way of updating the controller software.

There is a new process coming that will be part of the toolkit that will make this obsolete / backup.

Support Process

Take the site ID and input it into the sites.jobs table. 

Then take the Controller ID and input that into the devices table.

Then scroll along to get to the entity_version_id and project_version_id  


you will want the entity_version_id to be 1411 and currently we want the project_version_id to be 1448.

Enter in "Engineer Visit" or something appropriate in the "update_reason" column. 


Take the serial number of the controller and go to the Management Portal


Search for the controller by the serial number in the Assets part, and click on the 3 dots on the left. Then click on reprovision.

If the only option is "no actions" that is because the controller is in state "unregistered". You will need it to be in the state "complete".
